Information technology seminars for visual artists.

The Africancolours Artists’ Association (AAA), sponsored by the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust (CFoZT) will be conducting visual arts seminars around the country starting in Harare on 17^th of September 2007 at the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe.

 The main objective of the seminars is to encourage the country’s visual artists to use the various forms of Information Technology around to publicize their work to a global audience and help contribute to the growth of the country’s culture sector.

The AAA will impart knowledge on the impact of Information Technology on the visual arts and the artists, encourage the artists to have web pages of their portfolios created on www.zimbabwe.africancolours.net at no cost and also discuss some problems that the artists are currently experiencing. From Harare the following meeting will be at National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on the 27^th of September 2007, then to the Mutare National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe, Gweru and other places in the month of October 2007.

The Africancolours Artists’ Association (AAA) has been in operation since the year 2002 and is a professional visual artists run organization registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe. Over the years of its inception, the association has conducted a number of visual arts workshops, seminars, exhibitions as well as updating its website with art news, events, and articles with images as they unfold.
